The Shoe Dr. Story

I am a custom shoe designer who specialises in personalising footwear with hand-painted art highlighted by bold designs, flashy colours and detailed illustrations.

I personally 'doctor' each pair of shoes to visually tell the stories of those who wear them. Edgy, unique and distinctive, my doctored shoes are fashionable representations of creative expression in the modern era.

Though certainly unexpected, the journey to where I am now has been illuminating, inspiring and led by instinct. After graduating from Coventry University with a degree in Product Design, I took on a traditional 9-5 role to pay the bills. While I loved my job and the people I worked with, I felt unfulfilled and unchallenged artistically. So in my spare time I started painting shoes as a hobby I never in my wildest dreams expected to turn into my life's purpose and passion. With the help of family, friends, mentors and an unforeseen pandemic which resulted in me being furloughed, I now focus my efforts full time on my custom shoe business.
